In the rapidly evolving landscape of data-centric research, modern strategies for data management, sharing, and publication are essential. NOMAD is a web-based platform developed by the NFDI consortium FAIRmat to address these challenges. It has pioneered the application of FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) to materials science data, emerging now as a fully-customizable, global platform for harnessing the full potential of research data.
To introduce NOMAD to a wider audience, we’re going on tour. Our experts, Hampus Näsström (Use Cases Technical Coordinator) and Joseph F. Rudzinski (Theory & Computation Coordinator), will lead a NOMAD tutorial at several locations, with support from local hosts: Martin Girard, Hongbin Zhao, Alexander Welle, and Tristan Bereau.
Join us in Mainz, Darmstadt, or Heidelberg from May 19 to 22. (Please note: the tutorial in Karlsruhe has been cancelled.) Each stop will feature two parts: a seminar and a hands-on tutorial. The seminar will showcase NOMAD’s remarkable journey—from a repository for ab initio calculations to a comprehensive ecosystem for research data management.
In the tutorial that follows, you can choose one of the following topics to explore NOMAD’s capabilities:
