DESCRIPTION:Initiated by FAIRmat and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB)\, the 
 symposium brings together five major materials-oriented research instituti
 ons in Berlin to discuss how research can successfully transition into the
  age of artificial intelligence. In this context\, research data are both 
 a key resource and a treasure. The symposium provides a platform to explor
 e the opportunities and challenges of this digital transformation.The scie
 ntific program features invited talks by international experts\, followed 
 by discussions and opportunities for exchange across the materials science
  community. The symposium will also include the signing of a memorandum of
  understanding to underscore the collaboration between FAIRmat\, HZB\, the
  Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth (IKZ)\, the Paul Drude Institute for
  Solid State Electronics (PDI)\, and the Federal Institute for Materials R
 esearch and Testing (BAM).The event also celebrates FAIRmat's recent recog
 nition with the European Digital Skills Award\, presented by Henna Virkkun
 en\, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission\, in Brussels on
