Description
Digitalization has transformed scientific practices. Research data are now viewed as a more valuable and reusable asset, demanding careful preservation and sharing. As a result, complying with legalities becomes essential, especially when sharing and reusing research data. This poster provides foundational legal insights for research data management, tailored for the condensed matter physics and materials science community. It highlights the importance of contractual agreements, intellectual property rights, and the licensing of research outcomes and code, while acknowledging additional compliance perspectives.
